Xiaomi: Manufacturing and Sub-Brands.
The Xiaomi ecosystem includes more than 30 key brands and over a hundred partner and subsidiary companies, some of which are legally independent. Xiaomi does not provide a single official public list of all its brands and sub-brands, but here is an overview of the main categories and the most well-known names under which its products are sold.
Xiaomi (pronounced “shau-mee,” meaning “little rice” or “grain of rice”) is a reliable supplier of high-quality products from China.

In this overview, you’ll learn about most of the brands and sub-brands, as well as manufacturers within the Xiaomi ecosystem—from official product lines to major partners. Xiaomi develops not only its own brands but also supports many companies that produce goods under their own names with Xiaomi’s involvement.
1. Brands and sub-brands owned or managed by Xiaomi
Smartphones and electronics:
Xiaomi — the corporation’s main brand, offering premium smartphones, TVs, laptops, and other gadgets.
Redmi — a sub-brand focused on budget and mid-range devices (separated into an independent brand in 2019).
POCO — originally part of Xiaomi, now an independent brand focused on high-performance devices at affordable prices.
Black Shark — a gaming-focused smartphone brand with high performance and gaming features.
Automotive and large-scale tech:
Xiaomi Auto (Xiaomi Automobile Co., Ltd.) — Xiaomi’s division for developing and manufacturing electric vehicles.
2. “Mi” / “Mijia” — a smart device ecosystem
Previously, Xiaomi used the Mi / MIJIA / Xiaomi Smart Life branding for smart home and IoT devices. In 2021, the “Mi” branding was simplified, and many products were renamed under Xiaomi, while MIJIA remains the name for its smart home product line.
3. Xiaomi’s partner and investment ecosystem
Many of the brands listed below appear on Xiaomi’s Youpin crowdfunding platform and in Mi Home stores. Most are now independent companies with their own products, partially funded by Xiaomi or working with it as manufacturing or technology partners.
Wearables and accessories:
Huami / Amazfit — smart bands and watches.
Haylou — budget earbuds and smartwatches.
1MORE — premium audio products (formerly a close partner).

Roborock — robot vacuums (an early partner, now independent).

Photo, video, and electronics:

70mai — dash cams and car accessories.
XiaoYi — cameras and video devices within the ecosystem.
Audio and peripherals:
QCY — affordable Bluetooth earbuds.
SIMGOT / Oh Play — audio equipment.
Home, lifestyle, and kids’ products (Youpin partners):
HuoHou — kitchen tools.
TINYMU — smart toilet seats.
XUNKIDS / 700Kids — children’s electronics and accessories.
Amazpet — pet gadgets.
(And hundreds of others представлены through the Youpin platform—more than 80 brands in total.)
We’ve been living in China for a long time and regularly use Xiaomi products. For newcomers, here’s a quick note: a small laptop bought back in 2017 still works perfectly, one of the phones from 2016 is still running, and even an electric kettle is still functioning like new.
Now, let’s clear up a few common misconceptions about Xiaomi:
Amazfit is a well-known brand of smartwatches and wearables connected to Xiaomi through partnership and investment, but it is not a direct Xiaomi sub-brand.
The Amazfit brand belongs to Zepp Health (formerly Huami), which used to manufacture devices for Xiaomi (such as Mi Band) and received investment from Xiaomi.
So while Amazfit products are often sold alongside Xiaomi devices, legally it is a separate company, not a Xiaomi sub-brand.
Smart glasses (Xiaomi eyewear):
Yes, Xiaomi produces glasses under its own product lines:
Xiaomi Smart Audio Glasses / AI Glasses — wearable devices with audio and AI features.
Mijia / Xiaomi Eyewear — includes various eyewear products such as:
Mijia Smart Audio Glasses
Xiaomi Blue Light Blocking Glasses
Xiaomi Sport Sunglasses
These are not separate sub-brands but product lines within Xiaomi / Mijia.
About dolls:
At present, there is no official “doll” brand owned or managed by Xiaomi. While toys and children’s products may appear on the Youpin platform from partner brands, there is no dedicated Xiaomi doll brand.
Xiaomi’s core philosophy:
Instead of buying factories, Xiaomi focuses on:
- Investing in teams
- Providing sales channels
- Supporting branding
As a result, many brands eventually become independent.
Key manufacturers that grew out of Xiaomi’s ecosystem:
- Amazfit — developed Mi Band 1–4 and early Mi wearables; now owned by Zepp Health and fully independent.
- Roborock — created the first Mi Robot Vacuum; now an independent public company with Xiaomi as a minority investor.
- YI Technology — produced Mi cameras; now independent.
- 1MORE — formerly made audio products for Xiaomi; now an independent premium audio brand.
- ZMI — long-time partner producing power banks and chargers; still closely tied to Xiaomi.
- Aqara — smart home devices; independent ecosystem supporting Apple HomeKit and Matter.
- Yeelight — smart lighting; independent but continues cooperation with Xiaomi.
- Viomi — home appliances; now a public company and ecosystem partner.
- Dreame — vacuum cleaners; now a strong independent premium brand.
- 70mai — dash cams; still closely connected but operates independently.
- QCY — budget earbuds; early partner, now a mass-market brand.
- Ninebot — mobility solutions; now Segway-Ninebot, with Xiaomi as an investor.
