Google Opens Access to Gemini for Users in Hong Kong
Google has opened access to Gemini for users in Hong Kong.
Previously, the service was unavailable in the region, and residents could only use it via VPNs or third-party platforms. For businesses and educational institutions, access was provided through paid Google Workspace services.
The web version is now available, and the company plans to launch a mobile version of Gemini in the near future. Michael Yue, General Manager of Sales and Operations for Google in Hong Kong, said that expanding access to Gemini will help boost creativity and productivity in the city.
Experts believe that the launch of Gemini could encourage other Western AI companies to bring their applications to the Hong Kong market, such as ChatGPT and Claude.
